Dr Sandy Flann
Dr Sandy Flann MBBS, BSc (Hons), MSc (Allergy), FRCP is a Consultant Dermatologist in Kent.
She sees patients at Sevenoaks Medical Centre (part of KIMS Hospital), at BMI Chelsfield Park Hospital.
Specialist Areas
Dr Flann sees patients with general dermatological problems, such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancers & vulval skin disorders and is an experienced dermatological surgeon with a weekly theatre list.
She has a specialist interest in paediatric (children’s) dermatology and allergy and was the Lead Clinician for paediatric dermatology for the department at Orpington Hospital and for West Kent Dermatology.
Qualifications and Training
Dr Flann graduated from King’s College School of Medicine, London in 2000 and gained a broad experience of general medicine at Bromley Hospital, King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. In 2016 she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
Specialist in Dermatology
She started her Dermatology training at the world renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London and then built upon this by gaining experience in the dermatology departments of King’s College Hospital, St George’s Hospital and Orpington Hospital, where she obtained the Royal College of Physicians Speciality Certificate in Dermatology and in recent years, at West Kent Dermatology (part of Sussex Community Dermatology NHS service).
Specialist in Allergy
Dr Sandy Flann has also completed a postgraduate MSc in Allergy at Imperial College, so that she can bring the most up-to-date innovations and knowledge in this rapidly developing area to her patients.
Professional Presentations
She has presented work at a variety of national and international meetings, including the British Association of Dermatology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the American Academy of Dermatology and the World Congress in Paediatric Dermatology.
